The Benefits of Good Oral Hygiene

August marks Dental Health Week. This year it is all about women’s dental health and how it is affected by changing hormonal levels during puberty, menstruation, pregnancy and the menopause. Here at Integrated Dental Care we do try to take extra care of women patients during life changes and we may suggest seeing women patients more frequently for check-ups and cleanings to avoid any problems developing.

However, we also feel that Dental Health Week is a good time for everyone to think about improving their dental care. Great dental care can help your natural teeth last for life and just as importantly it can protect your general health. It isn’t difficult to find just a few minutes each day to brush and floss thoroughly which is all that is needed to maintain great oral health. If you feel you’d like to improve your brushing and flossing routine then our friendly dental team are always delighted to help so please just ask.
